The whiskey is composed of sourced high-rye barrels from Kentucky, with components including barrels older than the 7-year age statement, adding additional depth and maturity to the blend. Rather than being a single-barrel release, it is carefully constructed to achieve consistency, balance, and versatility.

What sets Hurst Knoll apart is how it was developed. Rare Character’s founder Pablo Moix actively tested the whiskey across a wide range of cocktail formats, benchmarking it against common modifiers such as:
